My favourite finds for Fall

Images belong to: Aritzia, LEO SEASON, Matilda Djerf; other images: Pinterest.

This fall, I’ve been feeling a natural pull to return to the office in style—and to start dressing more like myself than ever before (which to me, means actually feeling comfortable as I spend 7 hours at the edge of my desk type, type, typing away).

Suede accessories and blazers? Check. Accessories so cute you could cry? Ummm…. double check.

Shop, save, and critique all of my favourite Fall finds currently attracting cobwebs in my shopping cart below—and don’t forget to link your most admired stuff in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.

Pooh Jumper, Gimagaus

Rugby sweaters. Varsity cardigans. Whatever you want to call this trend, I can’t help but think of Arthur meets Hermione every time I see a cutesy little sweater like this one from Gimaguas pop up on my screen. I’m pretty sure I had an exact same sweater like this in my childhood—and it definitely sparked mega nostalgia for simpler times (it doesn’t help that it’s called the Pooh Jumper).

Rugby shirt outfits and striped shirts are taking off on Instagram, with searches online increasing by a 300% over the past year, according to Style Analytics. So, yeah—stripes are cool, Jan.

Lila Moss also just modelled this sweater for the brand which is kinda cool if you’re into British celebrity stuff (ahem, I am).

Sävy Solid Balaklava, Marimekko

Ok ok ok ok. So we all saw Camille rocking an amazing pearl-coloured balaclava on Emily in Paris. And although many non-fashion followers (specifically in North America) were dumbfounded to discover this look on their screens—balaclavas have long reigned as a staple in many winter wardrobes across places like Scandinavia, and other long-winter geographic regions. Of course, the fashion history of the balaclava can be found throughout many cultures—but I first became familiar with these super chic headpieces while following my fav Swedish and Danish style creators on Instagram.

I’ve seen quite a few cute (and on sale) versions on SSENSE, but this one caught my eye when I was shopping in person last month. And who can say no to Marimekko?

Wool-Blend Jacket with Pockets, Mango

Ever tried colour theory? Although I’ve always naturally followed a set of colours I know to best bring out my features… I’ve often neglected the whole earthy colour palet as a whole. But as I’m growing my hair out to its natural bronde colour, I’m thinking of diving into olive green to accentuate it. Also comes in cream.

Suede Bowling Bag, Source Unknown

Alright.. I know brown suede is definitely having a moment. But I’ve literally saved this bowling bag purse to my phone three times over the last couple of months. It’s on back-order but can’t help to think the classic shape will result in a staple in my wardrobe to come (especially as most travel bags suck these days). So, it’s on my list!

Oversized Exaggerated-Shoulder Blazer, COS

How cute is this structured blazer? I’ve been feeling a bit over the workwear silhouette that went mainstream post-COVID (and up until last year in 2023). You know: the oversized boyfriend look with mega-big shoulders? Yeah, that one…

Anywho. I admit I fell prey to this whole vibe a couple of years back, but am now on the search for much more structured, but still modern blazers to add to the mix. What I like about this one is it’s actually quite a bit slender in the waist and stomach area—so it’s not overly boxy, baggy, or deemed to be outdated given a few years. Ok, maybe it still does have a wee bit of a shoulder lift, but perhaps we can hold onto that a bit longer, right?

Multicolour Hand-Knit Jumper, Ganni

Its’ Ganni, ladies. Need I say more?

Berthe Hoop Earrings, Pilgrim

Can I be honest? I’ve already owned three similar pairs of this exact same earring, but from Wolf Circus. Based in Vancouver, they’re my go-to brand for all jewelry (they’re so good with freshwater pearls) because 1) they’re modern and chic af, but also b) they don’t give me breakouts (umm… every jewelry brand breaks me out on my cheeks, what’s up with that?).

BUT since my new puppy Priscilla stole and chewed up my third pair of Wolf Circus earrings like this, I thought I’d switch it up to break the curse. Looking forward to trying Pilgrm as they’re also Canadian (bonjour, Montreal).
